Studio Policies
Covid 19
We are limiting the use of our studio to our Artists and Clients ONLY – please refrain from bringing guests as they will not be permitted within the studio.
Results Are Not Guaranteed
While we offer the highest degree of detail and dedication to our procedures, we unfortunately have no control over other factors that affect the healing process. Please be aware, additional visits may be required to achieve optimal results.
Corrective Brow Work
We offer corrective brow work on a case-by-case basis. We cannot guarantee results for corrective or cover-up work. If previous work is too dark, discolored, or misshaped, tattoo removal may be required and is subject to additional fees.
Existing Brow Work
We do not “touch up” brow work done by other studios/artists. Clients will be charged the Initial service fee (varies based on procedure). Tattoo removal may be required and is subject to additional fees and visits.
Procedure Refusal
We may refuse to perform procedures on clients that we deem unfit for undergoing the tattooing process for safety reasons. This includes all clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Deposit
Due to high appointment demand, a deposit (and credit card on file) is required to secure a booking. Deposit amounts are listed in each service description. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits will be applied to the cost of your service at the time the service is rendered. The deposit may be forfeited due to late cancellations, late notice rescheduling, or no-shows. Please see the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy for details.
Touch Ups
After your initial appointment with iStar Microblading, the included touch up appointment will need to be completed no later than 8 weeks from the initial date. The fee for this touch up is included, provided the service takes place within that 8-week time frame. Any initial touch up appointment booked after 8 weeks will be charged the customary Annual Retouch rate of $450.
*Retouch visits are recommended annually to maintain shape, color & detail.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Please understand that when you book with iStar Microblading our artists have blocked out time to spend individually with you, the client, and need to be paid for that time (whether you show to your appointment time or you do not).
We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled without 48 hours’ notice of your appointment time are subject to a fee of 50% of your appointment value.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, or no-shows, are subject to a fee of 100% of your appointment value.
*These fees will be automatically charged to your credit card on file, and by continuing to book with our studio you are agreeing to this policy.
Arriving Late
Clients arriving 10 minutes late or more to their scheduled appointment will be required to reschedule and are subject to a fee of 100% of their appointment value.
Deposit
Due to high appointment demand, many of our services require a deposit to secure a booking. The deposit amount varies by service, and each amount is clearly indicated in the service description. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits will be applied to the cost of your service at the time the service is rendered. The deposit may be forfeited due to late cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows.

Refund Policy
**NO CASH REFUNDS
Our refund and returns policy for retail items is for 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. If products ever arrive damaged, we will issue you store credit for a replacement order. Please see Damaged Goods section below. We issue an in-store credit for the full purchase price as well as the shipping fee. You can order a replacement right away or save it for the next time you order. If an item is UNOPENED and in its original condition, we will happily offer exchanges. Just ship your product back to us, and we will issue you store credit to purchase something different. Please see EXCHANGES & SHIPPING below for instructions on how to return your product. If your items are OPENED/USED and we cannot resell these items, so we are unable to accept these items for return. 🙂
*Cash Refunds ARE NEVER GIVEN for our products or services.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your account for the full item amount. It will be available for use within 24 hours.
To return your product, you should mail your product to:
iStar Microblading
1582 W San Marcos Blvd Suite 102
San Marcos, Ca 92069
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Once we receive your product and we confirm it is in re-sellable condition, your store credit for the item purchase price will be issued. The shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, the postal office does sometimes lose packages.
If shipping insurance is not purchased (a priority mail label or UPS for international orders) Then the customer takes full liability for if the post office loses their shipment. In the case that your package arrives (tracking says delivered) but it is “stolen” the post office does qualify this as an insurable instance. People could claim their packages are stolen all the time and the post office simply does not honor this for insurance. If the tracking STOPS progressing and then “freezes”, this is when the post office will issue credit. The customer is responsible to fill out the needed forms to process their claim and get their refund.
Orders are considered lost for DOMESTIC SHIPMENTS after 2 weeks. Orders are considered lost for INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS after 8 weeks.
If your shipment is stolen or lost and you did not purchase insurance, iStar Microblading will offer up to $50 annually MAX per customer in store credit refunds for any reason. We would love to offer more if we could! Thank you for your understanding.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. This includes broken/leaking items, or numbing cream that is turning brown. To exchange a broken product for the same item, please send us an email with “EXCHANGE” written in the subject line.
Numbing cream is only considered defective if it is oxidizing/changing color. Each batch is quality tested by hand by the owner, so we do not refund for batch quality unless her tests reveal the batch is not quality. (In which case we do not sell it in the first place.) We cannot afford to return items that are opened because we cannot resell them. That is why we limit it to the $50 per customer annual limit. Returned numbing cream would apply to this, not as a defective item unless it is not white (romantic) or pink (numb me).
If other items are claimed to “not work” this will always be considered user error. We quality test each batch of all products and are positive of their quality. We understand that not all products are for all people, and sometimes there is a learning curve for certain products. Specifically our Outline kits and our China Marker Sharpeners certain customers have a difficult time learning how to use. That being said, for every customer that is unhappy, we have 10 more that swear each product works perfectly and are “game changers”. We will never be able to understand what makes it so easy for some customers and so difficult for others, but we do our best to help. This is why we offer the $50 per customer annual credit max for situations like this. But in the instances where the user cannot figure out how to use them, the items are NOT considered defective.
Contact us at istarmicroblading@gmail.com for additional questions related to refunds and returns.
